“Right On Time” with TobyMac Introduced Cole’s Gotee Era as a Singing-and-Rapping Hybrid
After signing with Gotee Records, Aaron Cole released “Right On Time” featuring label co-founder TobyMac. Cole sang his verse and the chorus rather than rapping on the track, and described his developing sound as a midpoint among hip-hop, R&B and pop rather than an all-rap or all-singing format.
TobyMac also served as a studio mentor, teaching Cole to scrutinize every line, word and syllable. “Right On Time” subsequently reached No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Hot AC/CHR National Airplay chart, turning that mentor-artist collaboration into Cole’s first major radio benchmark.

Sorry, I Changed Joined Kirk Franklin and DOE to Cole’s RCA Inspiration Debut
Aaron Cole released the 13-track Sorry, I Changed in April 2024 as his first album for RCA Inspiration and his third full-length overall. Cole wrote on every track, drawing on career changes, marriage and the deaths of loved ones while moving among rap, R&B and contemporary Christian music.
The album’s named collaborations include Kirk Franklin on “SBTN” and DOE on “Infinity”; its previously released songs included “Have Your Way,” “Proof,” “I Love It” and “Tables Turned.” Cole explained the title through the changes demanded by real-life experience and by pursuing what he believes God has called him to do.
