Before the Garden 5 Extends Caleb Gordon’s Album Series
Caleb Gordon released Before the Garden 5 in 2023 as a 13-song, 35-minute album. Its title continues the Before the Garden sequence that began with the 10-song Vol. 1 in 2021 and included the four-song The Burden of Freedom EP earlier in 2023.

‘War,’ Its Bob Marley Sample, and Gordon’s Public Correction
In October 2024, Rapzilla reported that Gordon removed songs after acknowledging that he had used samples without properly clearing them. One removal was ‘War,’ which incorporates a Bob Marley sample; Marley’s team subsequently cleared that sample so Gordon could rerelease the song. The same report said Universal Orlando Resort invited him to perform at Rock the Universe.
