2045 Arrived After a 16-Month Build, Led by “Die for Me” with 1K Phew
Parris Chariz released 2045 on July 17, 2020, describing it at launch as the result of 16 months of work. Three weeks earlier, he announced the date while releasing “Die for Me,” a collaboration with Reach Records rapper 1K Phew.
The sequence ties the album’s rollout to a named cross-scene collaboration rather than a general career milestone: “Die for Me” served as both a standalone single and an explicit announcement of the full project that followed.

The World45 Collective Expanded Through Nelo’s Riptide and “Black Rain”
In a 2020 interview, Chariz defined World45 as a collective built to share industry knowledge among artists, not simply as a vehicle for collecting revenue. He traced the name to an apartment where he and his friends had grown together as family, businessmen and Christians, and said the collective had effectively been operating since his 2018 album In My Weakness.
Nelo’s debut project Riptide marked a more formal test of Chariz’s executive role. Chariz said he wanted to apply what he had learned about releasing and promoting music to guide a new artist; Nelo, his former college teammate and roommate, introduced the project alongside the “Black Rain” video featuring Chariz.
